We are pleased to welcome you.  Our community room is both inviting and peaceful while comfortably accommodating 6-8.  Small class sizes keep the atmosphere intimate and the offerings unique.  Please feel free to contact us with suggestions or for information on event/class hosting.



PREPARING FOR SPRING

MARCH 14 2017  6:00 – 7:00 PM| Free

 In this one-hour class, we will discuss specific foods, practices, and techniques, that can be used to benefit us for spring. The Spring is a time for renewal and growth so our practices and foods should reflect this to be in harmony with nature. This class will include the basics needed to follow the natural rhythms of our natural world. We will even send you home with some fresh, bright recipes!

PREPARING FOR SUMMER

JUNE 2017 6:00 – 7:00 PM| Free

 In this one-hour class, we will discuss specific foods, practices, and techniques, that can be used to benefit us for summer. The Summer is a time for growth so our practices and foods should reflect this to be in harmony with nature. This class will include the basics needed to follow the natural rhythms of our natural world. We will even send you home with some fresh, cooling recipes!

PREPARING FOR AUTUMN

SEPTEMBER 2017 6:00 – 7:00 PM| Free

In this one-hour class,we will discuss specific foods, practices, and techniques, that can be used to benefit us for autumn. The fall is a time to let go so our practices and foods should reflect this to be in harmony with nature. As the passing days bring changes, we too need to evolve with the changing weather. We will even send you home with some warming recipes!

PREPARING FOR WINTER

NOVEMBER 2017 6:00 – 7:00 PM| Free

In this one-hour class, we will discuss specific foods, practices, and techniques, that can be used to benefit us for winter. The winter is a time to stay in and “hibernate”, so our practices and foods should reflect this to be in harmony with nature. As the passing days bring changes, we too need to evolve with the changing weather. We will even send you home with some cozy, warming recipes!

FOOD AS MEDICINE

JANUARY 2018  6:00 – 7:00 PM| Free

In this one-hour class, the benefits of certain foods in the diet in regards to Traditional Chinese Medicine and how they can strengthen our systems will be discussed. Food is fundamental for healing and this class will delve into HOW to eat and WHAT to eat based on Traditional Chinese Medicine theory. The class will touch on what to do daily for better digestion and what can be done with nutrition to strengthen “energetic” organs,  Qi and blood, and keep up as healthy as can be!

Mindfulness Practices: Cultivating inner peace.

In the spirit of mindfulness, we offer private and group classes with options to meet the needs and interests of many. Classes require a minimum of 3 students. Private sessions are available by appointment.

Cost: $15/class or $48/4 classes, private sessions vary.

Guided Meditation in the Park At Morgan Park (across the street) we will gather for group meditation outdoors. Weather permitting, rain days will be indoor at 8 Branches Chinese Medicine. Bring a blanket/mat. $15/class
