The Village: A Gathering for Mothers

This is a space for new and expecting mothers to gather in community. Open to women who have already become mothers or are expecting a baby.
Becoming a mother is one of the most transformational times in a woman’s life. Unfortunately, the community in motherhood is lost in our modern day society. We all know the saying, “It takes a village to raise a baby.” I believe “The Village” is really meant for the mothers. We need each other to learn from, to support one another, to care, and to grow in motherhood. It takes mothers to mother. This is a space to lean on each other.
We will plan to meet at The Center at 8 Branches once a month. Each session will begin with a grounding practice (one of the following: meditation, light movement, sharing a reading, etc.). Next, I invite mothers to share their birth story, & we will have a topic to open up the discussion. A light snack + tea will be offered.
Themes for group discussion are below. Please note this is just a topic to begin conversation. This is a non-judgmental space for all conversations. Lap babies are welcome.

Payment: Tickets are $10-25 sliding scale, donation-based. Registration closes 24 hours prior to the session. Tickets cannot be reimbursed after the registration deadline unless the event is cancelled by the host.
