At the spring equinox, we experience equal amounts of daylight and darkness as the Earth’s axis is tilted neither toward nor away from the Sun. Join us for the Spring Equinox Breathwork Circle as we honor this time of balance—between day and night, light and dark—and embrace the transition into the lighter half of the year. We’ll come together in a supportive community space to align with the natural rhythms of the Earth, connecting with ourselves, one another, and the season’s deeply symbolic energy of balance, rebirth, renewal, reawakening, emergence, cleansing, and growth.
Led by Julie Banashak, breathwork practitioner and nature connection guide, we’ll gather in circle for a therapeutic breathwork practice (using a conscious connected breath), followed by a nature-based ritual to mark this sacred time of transition. Therapeutic breathwork invites us to:
• Explore the full spectrum of feelings and experiences that life brings
• Heal and integrate the past
• Embody the fullness of the present moment
• Become more fully ourselves and live with meaningful purpose
• Cultivate a deeper sense of connection, peace, and wellbeing
• Breathe life into future visions for ourselves and the world
The Spring Equinox Breathwork Circle is open to everyone; no prior experience is necessary.
We will be on the floor, sitting and lying down. While yoga mats, blankets, and bolsters are provided, please bring whatever you need to feel comfortable. Wear clothing that allows you to breathe and move, and it is best to avoid heavy meals just before breathwork. Feel free to bring a journal, pen, and water. You’re also welcome to bring a meaningful or sacred item for our communal spring equinox altar, such as something from nature, a symbol of balance, or a representation of rebirth, growth, and emerging life.
